At Heath Barn Preschool, we aim to provide an environment in which all children are supported to reach their full potential.   We work within the requirements of the DfE SEND Code of Practice 2014.

 

We use a graduated response approach to help identify the specific needs of children with SEND and will work to meet those needs through a range of strategies.  If additional equipment/personnel is required in order to meet the needs of a child, we will seek to secure funding.

 

We will work in partnership with parents and other agencies in meeting individual children's needs.

We provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all children with SEND; which can be differentiated to meet individual needs and abilities.

 

Once an additional need has been identified, we will work with parents/carers to create individual learning plans which will be reviewed regularly.  We will make all reasonable adjustments required in order for a child to participate fully in ‘preschool life’.
