The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines, which childcare settings in England are required to follow, currently state that just one person with a current paediatric first aid certificate must be on the premises and available at all times when children are present or on outings. (DfE 2017, page 22)

Heath Barn is proud to announce that, in July 2018, we were awarded Millie's Mark, a Quality Mark accreditation which demonstrates that as childcare providers we go above and beyond the minimum requirements by having 100% of our staff trained in paediatric first aid.  This accreditation also ensures that everything learned during the Millie's Mark evaluation and assessment process is kept alive and in the forefront of our minds so that we are confident, ready and capable.

With the Millie's Mark accreditation, you can be reassured that all of our childcare practitioners know what to do in a paediatric first aid situation.
